Merge Envelopes

Two of our members were recently married. I merged their profiles into one family, but they have separate envelope numbers.

If I change the wife's envelope number to the husbands number, will I lose her contributions? Or will her past contributions carry as records for the entire new family?

If you change her number to match his, their contributions history will be merged into his number. There won't be any indication of which were hers and his previously.

Why not use Contributions>Reassign>Reassign Envelope Number? That will merge the two histories.

Why not use Contributions>Reassign>Reassign Envelope Number? That will merge the two histories.

No need as you can change the number on the personal profile and get the same result.

Either one will work. They do the exact same thing.
