trouble entering contributions

We are new to PowerChurch. I have entered a member, last and first name only at this point and assigned an envelope number. When I attempt to enter contributions I get an error message saying the form must be completely filled out. I am entering the envelope number, which pulls up the name, I selected check, and entered the amount. I did not enter a fund number because I don't have my GL set up yet and only want to record the contributions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Contribution Funds are required. Connecting them to Fund Accounting is not.

To add a list of Contribution Funds, go to Contributions > Maintain List of Contribution Funds. Click the Add button. Just leave the debit and credit account fields blank.
