Question Regarding Deposits

I am new to powerchurch software and we are just now starting with the program so we don't want to load all the contribution information for the year but just want to add the total deposit amount and then we will begin with the contribution beginning in January. Is there a way to do a deposit and not have to do the contribution for the individual members.

Yes, you'll have to do a manual transaction to record the deposit to the checking account (debit) and to the income accounts (credits).
