Restricted Fund Not Updating

Hi, We have 2 of our restricted funds in our endowment fund at Fidelity. We keep an excel spreadsheet to distribute the Fidelity endowment income to the main church endowment and the 2 restricted funds. These amounts are entered into CPlus using an entry in Fund Accounting. Up until July of this year it was working well and the numbers would update on the balance sheet. In July the entry was made but one of the restricted funds did not update correctly. I entered $23,973.30 and it showed up on the Balance Sheet as $23,991.30. I have checked the numbers and the entries but cannot figure out why this happened. Any thoughts?

There is no reason why numbers would change like this from within the program without human intervention. Are you sure that nothing else was added to that fund other than when you did your update?
I would run an
Account Activity report from the Fund Accounting report list against that account to be sure.

In addition to the Account Activity, run a Detail Changes in Equity report for that specific equity account. That report is essentially an Account Activity that shows the accounts/transactions that "closed to" (affected) the equity balance.

When I run the Detail Changes in Equity report it only shows the current balance no other transactions are available.

The account activity shows the entries that I made but the current balance is the # that shows up on the Balance Sheet.

Steeple Current Balance 23,991.30
Total Debits & Credits 23,973.30 24,024.46

You may need to get some direct support from Powerchurch, but I suspect that it will have to be paid support.
