SYSTEM GENERATED transaction on Net Assets account

Through the Account Activity report, I've discovered an entry with the Reference "[SYSTEM GENERATED]"
and the Description "Total of accounts set to - close to this account" with a $300 Debit on the account.
And now my account if off by $300 :(

Can someone explain what may have triggered this entry?

The system will create these transactions to adjust the net assets account using the accounts that close to that account. FWIW ... you shouldn't be using the net assets account balance to determine what you have in the bank. That is a 'real time' account that is adjusted whenever you create a transaction that may debit or credit the asset or liability accounts. If when you do a reconcile on the bank account, it comes out correct with a zero amount in the 'to balance' area, you're fine.

Thank you :)
After I posted this, I realized I'd never run the Account Activity report on a Net Asset account, which explains why I never saw these entries.

We regularly use the Balance Sheet report, which shows those Net Asset accounts; and it's helpful for tracking the balance on our restricted "funds."
At the bank account level, the restricted and unrestricted funds all go into a single account.

Thanks again for the reply :)
