Deposits Less Cash On Hand

I'd like to understand how you all account for cash on hand dollars resulting from loose denominations from your weekly deposit. Once you have processed all contributions, the system will post your bank deposit consistent with the contributions, however, when loose denominations exist we don't actually deposit the equivalent of the weekly contributions.

We have assigned an envelope number outside our normal series, for such offering plate cash. The cash is counted, and is entered in the system against this envelope.
