Is there a way to link vendor data to membership data? We get a lot of expenses coming in from members of the congregation and it's a hassle to have to check the vendor info all the time to make sure the mailing address hasn't changed since the last time I wrote them a cheque. If this isn't possible, can it be added to a list of features for a future version?

This has been asked before, and its not currently possible as the Accounting and Membership are two separate areas and modules.

What we do here is to require an authorization form from the Elder in charge of the ministry that lists the payee of the check, and that form must list the full mailing address of whom the check should be made out to.

Its a manual workaround, but it also acts as a check and balance to insure that the ministry head knows what's going on in their budget.

I was asking about this because I know that the membership data is linked in the accounts receivables (or at least it asks if the person is in the membership database when you set them up and then pulls that info over, I haven't checked to see if it updates the info as well).

We don't use the accounts receivables here, so I wasn't aware of that (one of the few things we don't use here). I just tested it on my test machine, and the accounts receivable does link directly to the membership tables and a change I made is reflected in the AR area.

I suspect it links to the table, and does not pull the data into a separate table.

This does sound like a good idea for the wish list ... !!
