Changing accounting fund numbers

Over the years we have created and abandoned or changed several fund numbers. I know that we can exclude funds from a report by making it inactive, and renumbering it to a number higher than the last one in use.
Can we also change the seguence in which funds appear in a report by changing the fund number to a lower number?

Yes, you can in version 9. Just go into Maintain List of accounting funds and change the fund number. That will change the order on reports that print accounts by fund.
