I have updated the payroll tax tables and personal exemptions for 2006. When I check the state withholding it is coming up wrong (less than a dollar per check). I know this isn't that big of a deal, but last year it was to the penny. Is it because of the 53 Sundays (that is our payroll pay date)?
I am wondering if I should go in and force the number for the salary, but the hourly people I would have to change weekly.
Anyone else had this problem or have any thoughts?
Happy New Year and thanks in advance!

Its probably the 53 weeks. We're also seeing this type of issue in Contribtuions.HWessling wrote:I have updated the payroll tax tables and personal exemptions for 2006. What we've gone to is a twice a month payroll, the 15th and end of the month. Guarantees only 24 pay periods each year.

There is no "payday is this day of the week" setting for payroll to figure out how many pay days are in a year like there is for pledges. There is an easy work around though, go into Maintain list of employees, change the Employee's pay period to "Miscellaneous" and you can then enter the number of checks per year the employee receives.
