On page 26 of the PowerChurch v.9 manual, it says, "tractor printing is not supported in PowerChurch Plus on Windows. . .XP. . .or later operating systems." Is this still the case? We had been using Windows 98 with a LQ570+ ESC/P2 tractor printer for checks and everything was working fine. We are upgrading and going to XP, and finding that we can't get the printer to work. We get a non-support message when we try to print checks, about not being set up correctly with a Custom Paper Size of 850 by 1100--although we have changed everything we can find to change in both our operating system (printer driver setup, etc.) and in the program setup. Our check size is 8.5 x 7 bottom check tractor fed.
So, is this saying we cannot use this printer (or any other tractor printer) with a combination of v.9 and Windows XP?

Printing in Windows XP
S.M., Bookkeeper, started using PowerChurch v 8.5 01/01/03. Upgraded to 9.0 1/1/05.

Still the case. The full text of that comment says that its not supported " Due to differences in defining a custom paper size ..." , so the issues you're seeing are exactly why it can't be supported.Sandra Michalscheck wrote:On page 26 of the PowerChurch v.9 manual, it says, "tractor printing is not supported in PowerChurch Plus on Windows. . .XP. . .or later operating systems." It may be time to put that old printer to sleep !! It may cost you to have some replacement checks printed for laser/inkjet format, and a new inkjet costs under $100 or less, but you'll not have to worry about incompatibilites with other software packages, and the printer can then be used for other things besides checks.
