941 Qtrly Tax Return
Somehow my 941 Quarterly Tax Return Report is not including all current employees. I didn't think I've changed anything and I just finished cutting the last checks of the year. I have three employees and the report says I have two ee's. I re-ran this report for prior quarters where the correct number of ee's showed up and this new report also shows number of ee's as two not three for them too. Suggestions?

Did you try changing the number from 2 to 3 ?? There isn't a date in the 'end of employment' date for anyone, is there?mariecouch wrote:Somehow my 941 Quarterly Tax Return Report is not including all current employees. yes I can change the number of ee's to 3 but box 2 {wages} still only reflects the wages for whom I withhold taxes. I do not withhold for Clergy (and never have). In prior versions of PowerChurch Clergy was included in the employee count and wage totals. Then in the taxable wages PC would put figures for those who had withholding. And no, there is not an employment end date in the clergy setup.

Hmm .. I'll flag this for one of the techs to check.

Thanks Neil. I'll be out of the country with no access to the forum or my Powerchurch for about 2.5 weeks starting Saturday 1/5/19.

Take a look at the clergy salary/income item under Accounting > Payroll > Setup on the Maintain Item Descriptions screen. In the Tax Options field, choose <More Options> and see which boxes are checked. The new Clergy Salary tax option in Version 12 should have Federal and State taxes selected, but not Social Security and Medicare. If the clergy salary amount isn't being reported in the federal wages and the employee isn't being counted, it is likely the tax options on the item.
