Limiting accounts on Manual Checks

Post by jaclyn01 »

Is it possible to limit the accounts used on manual checks? Specifically I want to keep our secretary from using the liability, income, etc... accounts.

Also, I know when she enters a check and the funds don't balance it gets her a warning message...can that be made into a critical error? Meaning it wouldn't let her save without resolving the issue.

Thank you! - Jaclyn

Unfortunately, no it is assumed that the person writing checks is knowledgeable and knows what accounts should be used.

This is more a training issue, the secretary needs to learn that when a note pops up on the screen, she doesn't just accept it and goes on. I would not allow her to write checks until this learned.

The only other alternative is to make sure all the vendors have default accounts setup on their vendor records.
