Entering Payroll directly to AP/Manual Checks

Post by FPCSheboygan »

Operating System Windows XP (yes, I know....) and PowerChurch v. 11.55

I have just recently taken over our Treasurer duties and am updating the Payroll module. I have gone back and entered all Payroll from the beginning of 2015 with a few exceptions. There are some checks where the deductions were erroneously calculated. Is there a way to override the automatic calculations or a way to enter the paychecks directly into AP as manual checks so that the deduction info flows through properly? I am at a loss!!

Thanks!
Tracy

Anything you enter outside of Payroll, will not be reflected for your tax payments/941/W-2s. If the calculations were made outside of Powerchurch, and are wrong. You really need to enter that into the system, and then make corrections by either adding an adjustment to income or to withhold additional taxes in any next payroll.

You can bypass the calculation if you're using the Process Payroll function when you reach the screen where you would enter the check number. On that screen you can select the check detail, and make changes as necessary just prior to finalizing the payroll.

If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
