I have a problem with the check register. Running the Check Register report from Accounting-Reports-Check Register. If I run the check register for the current month (or any month for that matter), the Ending Balance is correct. If I run the check register for the Year-To-Date, the ending balance is incorrect. How can running the same report with different dates produce the wrong ending balance?

Re: Check Register
What are you comparing the balance to, to decide that it is this balance that is incorrect?
What will be different with the Check Register than most any other report you run in Fund Accounting is that the Check Register pulls transactions strictly by date, whereas all other reports in FA pull transactions strictly by the posting month.
So this report will not match the Balance Sheet, say, if you have a transaction that is dated in January 1, 2011, but posted to the month of December 2010. This transaction would show up on the December 2010 Balance Sheet, but the January 2011 Check Register. Just an example of how they could be different.
