Printing payroll checks

Printing payroll checks

I'm filling in for the office manager. I am trying to print payroll checks but it only allows me to print/email the stub. The option for printing the actual check is greyed out. No sure what I'm doing wrong.

Definitely not the expert here and I am sure someone will chime in soon, I wanted to make sure you posted payroll? I feel like you did since you have the option to print and email stubs but wanted to check.

On the last step of the Process Payroll screen, labeled Verify Payroll, each employee and their checks are listed. There is a Payment Method field on each record. "Check" will generate a printed check. The other two options (manual check and direct deposit) will only generate stubs.

Thanks for the responses. Got it figured out. I was selecting "Manual Check" and typing in the check number. But realized I should select "Check" and then it let me enter the check number at the end of just before printing.
