We are trying to setup our Activities / Events Module in version 11.5 on our church computer running Windows 10. We have read through the manual and even purchased your canned video training to be viewed on our own computers when time permits. I have viewed this training module several times and for the life of me, I can't get it. I've been working on the Membership profile files for over five years and I am comfortable with most of it's function, but I can't keep straight in my mind the training knowledge presented to me by the training module.
Is there a basic setup template that can be provided that will clear up my lack of understanding of what I have to enter into the "Maintain Activities & Skill Descriptions"?

The Activities & Skills module can be used in any fashion you wish. There is no one way to use it.newcommunityumc wrote:We are trying to setup our Activities / Events Module in version 11.5 on our church computer running Windows 10. Many churches just use the Activities & Skills for the activity portion. They create activities they want to track attendance for and/or membership, and that's it. They don't worry about the skills. So all they do is setup activities like "Worship", "Adult Sunday School", and so on.
Others to track kids in children's Sunday School, and then promote to the next grade. That takes a bit more to do, but its still basically the attendance function.
Still others do use the Skills portion to track the skills of their members, along with areas where they wish to serve.
Could you be more specific on what you're looking for, trying to do, expecting??
