Can anyone tell me if there is a way to archive data in the membership module? Our records go back several years and I would like to be able to clean it up by deleting people who haven't been here for a long time, but at the same time I would like to be able to preserve the history by moving them to an archived file. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Archiving Data
The only way to archive, and one that I've done for the past 6 years, is to do a backup of the entire database, and save it to a CD, then do your updates.tenalea wrote:Can anyone tell me if there is a way to archive data in the membership module? There is no way to archive individual records.

I agree 100% with Neil. And always save a complete backup of the program version you are using, as data backups can only be restored on that version.
For example, a backup made on version 8 cannot be restored on version 8.5 or version 9, only on version 8.
Unless you have a saved full backup of the PROGRAM the data backup was made on, the backup well be useless when you upgrade to a tater version of the program.
