Lifetouch church directories

Post by John Dykema »

We are experimenting with creating a file for Lifetouch. The manual says that after clicking Finish to complete the export process we'll get a prompt asking if we want a hardcopy if we wish. I am NOT getting a prompt.
Also, has that file been exported now or do we just have the file that we CAN export to them?
Thanks.

That was a mistake in the documentation and has since been removed from newer prints of the manual and the built-in help file.

After clicking finish, you should have the file (with an LCD file extension) in the location you specified. Also, this is just a plain text file with a different file extension, so if you wanted to look at the contents, you can simply open that file in Notepad.

It should be noted that this file format is specifically designed for importing into LifeTouch's systems, not designed to be easily read.
