Directory Print Order

Post by dadcowell »

I am making a picture directory and have elected the 1/2 page format. When printing that directory, page 1 and 2 are on the first sheet, page 3 and 4 are on the second sheet and so on.

If I wish to make a booklet out of 50 pages, it would be best if I could print as follows: Sheet 1 would print page 1 and page 50; sheet two would print page 2 and page 49 and so on.

Is there a way to do that?

I believe the only way to do that would be to export the directory to an MS Word file, then modify the file into booklet format which would involve some major cut and paste. I don't remember if I've read anything on the forums to show that someone has come up with a better way of doing it.

Thanks Neil,

That is helpful. I'll try exporting it to Word. On a related point, I noticed that my directory pictures were pretty fuzzy when viewed and when printed. Is there a way to increase the resolution?

The only way to increase the resolution is to upload high resolution pictures. The other thing to check however is the printer setting. Make sure its at a high resolution print setting, 600 dpi or higher.
