1. You can, by setting up special activities for this purpose under the Activities & Skills module and assigning people to that activity.

2. You would be assigning people using their Personal Profiles, and yes you can assign them from the Integrated Data Entry module's Family Members tab.

3. You would then use the Send Email to a Group function in the Activity & Skills module to send out group emails.

4. If a person does not have an email entered for their Personal Profile, but there is one entered on their Mailing List record, the email will be sent to the address on the Mailing List record automatically.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you are looking for. You setup an Activity, that's fairly simple. Best thing to do is when you're in Powerchurch, press the F1 key and use the help, or pull out the manual, and follow the directions there.

I am sorry for not being clear. We want to send out group e-mails to various groups such as youth, worship team, older SS class, summer visitors, your marrieds, college age.....etc, etc... is that what I would put in the acticity set up or is there another way to send out these kinds of group e-mails???? I am new to PC and some if it is confusing in knowing where to do what.....thanks Elida Jacobs :wall:

If you already have activities setup for some of these groups (IE: Worship Team, Older SS Class, etc) you can use these activities to send out group emails.

If not, you would create the actvity (IE: Summer Visitors), then assign the Personal Profiles to the activity. Once this is accomplished you can then send out the email to the group as I outlined above.

Since you are new to Powerchurch, you may want to sign up for the online classes given by Powerchurch personnel. They are relatively inexpensive, and you really only need to sign up for one seat, for your entire office. All they need to do is gather round one of the computers to view the online class. You can ask questions after the main presentation, so you do get your money's worth.

For a list of classes see here: https://www.powerchurch.com/training_classes/index.php

They are very informative, they have one specific to Activity & Skills along with the Attendance module that would be very helpful in your case.
