We're new to power church and I would really love to talk with someone near us...is there anyone out there that uses power church and you're comfortable showing us some things in the Pittsburgh area? I'm close to Pittsburgh in Connellsville. What exactly are you needing assistance with ??

everything to be exact...but right now...payroll. We've used quickbook in the past and are trying to switch. Our treasurer is using contributions and I've already been using applications from members. But we'd like to be able to do our accounting...a/p, a/r, payroll etc. from power church. I have taken the payroll class and I believe the a/p from powerchurch...but I feel it would be benefitial to have someone sit with me to help me get this in. I am the church secretary...not an accountant, but willing to learn. Connellsville is kind of far from us I think..but that's what I really need.

FWIW ... its not a good idea to switch to accounting in the middle of a fiscal year. Not knowing if you use a calendar basis, or not but I would wait until the beginning of the next fiscal year to switch over completely.

That said, nothing says you can't start putting in your Payroll .. as long as you only post to Payroll and not Funds Accounting.

Is the treasurer (or whoever does the bookkeeping) using the Funds Accounting portion of Powerchurch ?? Wait .. that's a dumb question, you're not using any accounting functions of Powerchurch. Is the treasurer posting contributions to Funds Accounting, I would hope not.

Connellsville is about an hour and a half down Rt 51.
