What version of Powerchurch are you running ?? Versions 10 thru 11.5 run fine under Windows 7. Earlier versions you may have to do some program property settings.

That said, if you're running an earlier version of Powerchurch (Version 9 or less) Powerchurch will provide support via phone for a price, but no other fixes are being done to the program.

If you're using an earlier version, I'd definitely upgrade to the latest version. Programs are much like hardware in that they do get old, and you don't have the latest changes and new functionality.

It is power church 10, it was running on windows XP 32bit and now we have gotten an new computer that runs Windows 7 64 bit. I appreciate the speedy response! Thanks so much. Do I have to re configure it to run on Windows 7? or is it a simple installation from the disc? When I tried I kept getting an error message that the software wouldn't run on the system!

Try installing it in it's own folder outside of the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folders. If it is currently installed in either one of these folders you might want to uninstall it first. I have it installed in a folder called Powerchurch. Pretty original name isn't it. :D It is version 11.5 but that should not make any difference.

As Tom said, it should be an simple install from the disk, but make sure its it NOT put in the Program Files(x86) folder.

That folder puts restrictions on the user, as well as any ability to share that directory across the network. Make sure that your USER account is setup with Administrator privileges. Once installed, you should then apply the latest v10 Maintenance Release.

Now you may want to take a good look at this Knowledgebase Article:

https://www.powerchurch.com/support/kb. ... 416&type=1

You can see that V10 is compatible with Win7, but is no longer under maintenance as of Nov 5th 2012. You should consider upgrading to v11.5 .
