Bank Reconcillaiton versus contributions/Account Activity
I am having trouble with one month. Somehow I missed inputting $75 through contriubtions and updating fund accounting when I posted it. I had corrected a previous error and somehow it was corrected in contributions but not put into fund accounting. The problem I am having is when I do the bank recon...

Re: Account Activity versus Fund Summary
Thanks NeilZ.
I usually do that. Not sure what was going on in my head in February because I have a couple of them to correct.

Account Activity versus Fund Summary
I am going over the first 4 months of 2026 and have noticed a couple of errors. They have been corrected on the contribution side, but not on the fund accounting side. I was going to make an adjusting entry and make sure that it showed in the month that it should. For the posting date do I use the l...

Re: Correcting an error from one account to another
I electronically moved money from one account to the other. They are two separate bank accounts as the one is controlled by the pastors. Our main one, holds everything else and we have reservice accounts in the system. Lesson learnt. Of course everything was going smoothly until the very end of 2022.

Re: Correcting an error from one account to another
We have one account for our main chequing and one for our benevolent. As I put in the contributions anything to benevolent goes to an account Benevolent to be Transferred. At the end of the month I transfer the amount from our main account to benevolent. i.e. 03-1115-205 Benevolent to be Transfer 4...

Re: Contribution difference in Fund Summary & Account Activity
Neil, we do have a separate pay pall account on the income side. Redid it this year and it is works better now than the way I was doing it last year.

Re: Contribution difference in Fund Summary & Account Activity
Neil,
No I forgot that I have a separate contribution fund number for paypal items. Add that plus the regular contr. fund amount and it equals what is in fund accounting

Contribution difference in Fund Summary & Account Activity
I am double checking that my fund summary on the contribution side is the same as in the Account Activity on the Fund Accounting side. I have one entry that shows up in the account activity and posted contribution but not in the fund summary. Any idea what I did wrong?

Difference btwn Journal Report & Selected Paid Items
A cheque was written in December for $208.93. I went to reconcil January's bank statement, but when I was checking off the cheques, the amount was for $36.17, naturally my bank balance is out the difference. I checked my selected paid items and then I ran a journal report. I don't remember changing ...

Contribution Fund Numbers
I would also like to get rid of fund numbers we don't use, but it says
"This contribution fund cannot be deleted because data exists for this contribution fund."
This data is really old. Is there ANY way of getting rid of fund numbers you don't want to use anymore?

Getting rid of a Fund Balance
Last year we got rid of our Sunday School accounts (They were 05) and we moved everything into our main accounts (01). We transferred everything over, but when I do an account activity report it still shows in the Sunday School Fund Balance (Acct 05-3001) a balance of $487.86. How do I get rid of th...
