Pocket PowerChurch is an add-on product that allows you to sync contact information from your PowerChurch Plus Membership database. It also allows you to import Visitations data from the handheld device. There have been many exciting changes made to the Pocket PowerChurch program since the original release in 2003.
The version 2 release has added compatibility with Pocket PC and Windows Mobile devices that utilize a touch screen, as well as continuing support for Palm OS devices. We have also added default value settings on initial startup. You can now sync Activities & Skills, as well as customized Membership codes for more full-featured lookups, just like in PowerChurch Plus.

Does Pocket PowerChurch include a free handheld device?
No. You will receive a CD, from which to install the PCSync application on the local computer and the Pocket PowerChurch application on your Palm / Windows Mobile handheld device.
Can I purchase a handheld device from PowerChurch Software?
No, but they are available at almost any computer or electronics retailer.
My phone runs Windows Mobile, but does not have a touch screen. Will Pocket PowerChurch work with my phone?
No. Pocket PowerChurch is only compatible with Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, and Palm OS devices that utilize a touch screen.
Can I install Pocket PowerChurch onto removable storage (SD Card, Memory Stick)?
On your Pocket PC / Windows Mobile device, this should work fine. Unfortunately, Palm OS devices require that the program and data reside on the main memory.
Can I update the data on the handheld device and upload it back to PowerChurch Plus?
The Names, Addresses, and Phone Numbers are read-only and cannot be updated, but new Visitation Notes can be added and will be imported into PowerChurch Plus the next time you sync.
Will it work with a Pocket PC?
Yes, Pocket PowerChurch version 2 now supports Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, and Palm OS devices that utilize a touch screen.
I already import my data into Outlook and then sync it to my handheld device. Why would Pocket PowerChurch be better?
Pocket PowerChurch preserves the family relation; people are shown in connection to the families they belong to, just like they are in PowerChurch Plus. Also, additional information is included like custom membership codes, Activities & Skills, and Visitations notes. Any new Visitations data you may enter will be updated in PowerChurch Plus as well.
Using Pocket PowerChurch also lets you keep church information separate from your personal contact list. Since the data is pulled directly from PowerChurch Plus, it is easier to keep up-to-date. Any changes to PowerChurch Plus will be included the next time you sync your data.
Do I need to purchase a separate copy of Pocket PowerChurch for every person in the church who wants to use their handheld device?
No, like PowerChurch Plus, the software is licensed to the church, not the individual. As long as you are using the software for one church's use, you only need one copy.
Can I use Pocket PowerChurch if PowerChurch Plus is set up on a network?
Yes. Pocket PowerChurch will work from any workstation that has access to the data on the server.
Will Pocket PowerChurch sync my data from PowerChurch Online?
Pocket PowerChurch does not work with PowerChurch Online. It is possible, however, to run PowerChurch Online directly from your Pocket PC/Windows Mobile device. A Pocket PC/Windows Mobile specific connection client is available here.
