V 11 Payroll Period Dates

Post by tborgal »

I have noticed that the payroll period date does not adjust itself when shifting to different payroll groups having different pay cycles. In fact it seems to be locked in the bi-weekly selection. I even tried changing the first group, in my case it is bi-weekly, to a different cycle and the dates remain the same. It does change after the payroll has been processed to the next bi-weekly dates but if I do a weekly payroll I have to manually insert the correct dates. Is this supposed to work this way or is this a bug.

It would seem that this a problem that only bothers me. Any input from tech support on this?

Just checked to see if the most recent MR resolved the problem and I get the same result with the 7/12/2010 release. So yes I am on the current MR.

Thanks for bringing this up again, we missed it the first time.

It was apparently the intention that changing the pay group would automatically change the dates, but that never got implemented. We will get this written up and it will be fixed in a future Maintenance Release.
