Accessing Prior Year Archives

Post by sueyc »

We have been online with Power Church Plus since July 2008. I would like to be able to access transactions in the later part of 2008, but realize that these transactions are now in a old backup as PC+ does not keep more than two fiscal years open. Is it possible to restore an old version to view these transactions? What are the ramifications for others who might be accessing PC+ at the same time?

If you're using Powerchurch Online, and restore from an old backup, all online users would see that old data, unless you had a specific backup for those Accounting files.

That said, since you're talking about a backup made in 2008, that's probably from v10.4, and could not be restored to v11.

Unfortunately, that's one of the drawbacks of PC Online. If you had a local copy of the Powerchurch Plus v10.4 program on your computer, you could restore that backup to that copy.

Using PC+ since 1999.

FYI, just because you can't post transactions more than 18 months back from your current month, you can still view the transactions in reports. You don't need to restore a backup to reopen the months just to view the transactions or print a report.
